About Me

Hello there. First of all, I'd like to welcome you to the "About Me" page of my blog. This page will be used to introduce and tell you more about myself. So here goes.

\

I'm Goldie Ahmeda M. Pandi, a 14-year-old junior at Philippine Science High School- Central Mindanao Campus. I was born on November 13, 1997. I'm the second eldest of a Maranao family and I have two siblings. I have twelve girl friends namely, Danielle, Nicole, Nikka, Jireh, Jam, Khelly, Gillian, Annamitz, Hezra, Bashi, Ivy and Janisha. We like to call our group the Yin Yang Sisterhood.

Goldie is of English origin and it means, Made of Gold/ Golden. Ahmeda is a girl version of my father's name, Acmad, an Islamic name which means "highly praised". My family name, was from a man named, Pandi, who got lost during the war and was taken, and given care, by American soldiers to Jolo, Sulu. Grandfather was closely related to him and went to searching in Sulu. My grandfather found him and he was raised and given education by Pandi. For gratitude, my grandfather used Pandi, which means flag, for his surname. Therefore, my name means a golden and highly praised flag.

Like normal teens, I love to eat, text, and sleep. I don't read books but if I do, then it would be fiction and about the Greeks, Romans, or Egyptians. My eyes get easily tired. and I always get caught daydreaming and continuing the story the way I want. I admit that I daydream a LOT, even when I'm eating. I'm a directioner of 1D, a monster for Gaga, a Bieber bieleber, a smiler of Miley Cyrus, and Jason Mraz' ultimate fan. I listen to music a lot. I listen to it when I go to school, before I sleep and even at lunch time. I guess I like my life to go with background music. Sometimes, I think a person's life should be accompanied by music. So, here's a list of the Mostly Played songs in my phone as of August 2012, Valentine by Kina Grannis, Pangarap Lang Kita by Parokya ni Edgar, One More Night by Maroon 5,  and a couple of songs by Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars, Adele, and covers made by Boyce Avenue.

You're probably wondering why this blog is entitled, Midangkoyy. Well, I'll just use this page to answer that. As you have read above, my name is Goldie Ahmeda. Midangkoy is a nickname given to me by my cousins, aunts and uncles. It comes from Mida, derived from Ahmeda. My friends usually call me names like, dangkoy, dang, mida, midang, and midangkoy. I just doubled the Y to have a little bit of Yin and Yang to it.
